Winter Wonderland Window Projector – 12 Holiday Movies

The idea of Digital Decorations is so great. It would seem to be limited only by imagination! We had earlier purchased an AtmosFX DVD for Halloween and loved it. We thought the Christmas DVD would be good since it would be used for a couple of weeks rather than the couple of hours the Halloween decoration was in play.The DVD arrived and we checked it out. We were planning on using Santa's Visit as projected on the window. The scene is well lit and clear. Although they say it's set-up for vertical presentation, that's not quite how it is. The scene is landscape in orientation, however, "the action" takes place centered in the middle of the view. In our window, the scene uses the lower half of the window (see photo).So, what's our opinion? The scene is fine for what it is. The "Window Presentation" loops in 9:30 minutes before repeating. Other's have noted the glow surrounding Santa, a product of poor green screening. It's one of those things that once you note it - you can't stop seeing it! :)Oh! We are projecting it on a screen that came with the Halloween DVD kit. A fine weave cloth that is excellent for the display. It clearly displays the projection but doesn't show the interior of the room we are using, a nice feature. When we first started the display, we quickly had to lower the projector's level. It was originally set-up at about the same level as the window. What outside viewers saw was the scene with a really big light in the middle from the projector. By dropping the projectors elevation down about a foot, we got it below the visible eyeline level of the window from the outside and viewers saw just the scene and not the lamp.Our projector is a 1200 lumen No-Name LED projector. It is fine once the outside is very dark.If you were in a more well-lit area, a more powerful projector would be called for.We have received compliments from the neighbors and maybe a leg-up on the yearly un-official neighborhood Christmas decoration competition :).

This worked perfectly with my projector. You can play all the scenes or just one. My projector allowed me to play one or all on a loop. You can switch from horizontal to vertical through your projector setting. The scenes are crystal clear. Looking forward to setting this up in my huge window during the holiday season. We love these fx! It's our 4th one and our neighbors especially the children love it! Everyone's asking how it's done! These scenes are bright and plays Christmas songs too. Santa always stays in the middle of the screen so I have had to move the projector on the left or right side so the window frame in the middle of our window doesn't block him.

Update: After reading other reviews I was able to locate the Christmas videos. They were in the section that you can select individual movies. This make the product even better.I ordered the Christmas Digital Decoration in early October to have plenty of time before Christmas. I received the item on October 30 and plugged it in to check the videos. Instead of seeing Santa and his elves, I was greeted by ghosts and goblins. Somehow the video on the drive was one of AtmosFX Halloween movies. At first, I was confused as I could not find the Christmas Carolers, but this error allowed me to add something special to my Halloween decorations. This was a perfect mistake. Thank you AtmosFx for mixing up the videos on my drive. You made Halloween just a little more special this year. Anyway, the Halloween video is great and the kids loved it.

Liked the videos but just wished they were a little longer but neighborhood loves it. I notice kids stopping their parents to watch which makes it worth it.
