Whale Statue Big Mouth Container – Funny Resin Desk Organizer

I love whales and had to have this when I saw it offered up for review. I was not disappointed at all in the cookie jar that I received, I love this thing and have plans for it.The cookie jar is hefty and has some serious weight to it. The jar that I received arrived clean and in undamaged condition. It does come in styrofoam and it took an eternity to get all of the little foam bits off of my whale, but it was effort well spent because he is adorable and fun and arrived unbroken.The mouth is easy to open, but it is hefty and I do not recommend having this set up on an edge or corner if it is empty or filled with lightweight stuff because if it is opened quickly enough the weight of the lid going back could make it topple over the edge.I love the size of the whale's stomach/storage area. It is perfect for holding giveaways and small prizes/items for my live stream. I can close the mouth and have surprises for my viewers hidden in plain sight that I reveal by opening the mouth.5 million stars. Okay, just five stars... but only because that is all that I am able to give.

This whale dish is super cute. It looks fantastic! I do feel like it could be designed better though.The spout on the top is plastic and attached by a magnet. So it cannot be used as a knob to lift the mouth open and closed. This makes the whale mouth not the easiest to open and close. There is also no spring or anything to keep the mouth from just slamming shut if you let go of it. So I feel like this whale is more fragile than it needs to be. If the mouth slams, it could break.The whale is otherwise sturdy feeling and a decent weight. The mouth bowl size is decent to fit small candies.This whale makes for great decor regardless if you use it as a bowl or not.

I use this to hold pads and tampons. It fits perfectly on the back of the toilet and easily holds about 6 of each, along with a couple cups and discs.

Whenever I get something this hefty, I remember the lawyer in Jurassic Park saying "Is that heavy? Then it's expensive." It's the easiest way to make something feel like a premium product, even when that product is a shark-shaped cookie jar I am using to store extra soy sauce packets from sushi delivery.Seriously, this thing is nice and heavy. I have a few pieces of resin decor so I know it's hard and strong and nicer than most plastics, but this thing is also thick and has a really nice finish to it. The mouth and tail are well balanced and it is easy to open. It could have easily been cheesy and cheap, but it works really well.

This cookie jar is awesome! I love it. I read that it was made from Polyresin which is a type of plastic but it feels nothing like plastic nor has the weight of plastic. It feels more like porcelain to the touch and has a good amount of weight to it. I got it to put candies in. It is a little pricey but trust me it is made extremely well. I think it will last forever if I am careful with it and the rest of my family. It is a focal point of the room I have it currently and it reminds me of a ride at Disneyland where you take a boat into the whales mouth to see a little town. I think the detail and the color is outstanding as well. It is very cute and is useful. It opens and closes without the fin or tail striking the counter top. Clearly a lot of thought went into the design of the cookie jar.
